A tribute to Jodes

Proverbs 31 (MSG) says...
JODIE is a good woman who is hard to find...
...JODIE is worth far more than diamonds

Jodes, everything God has made you to be is brilliant - you are solid gold, my friend.

This is one of my favourite songs...written by none other than my favourite U2 frontman, Bono. Nichole Nordeman also does a really beautiful cover of this song too!

There could be several meanings behind what this song actually means..but to me, it is the beautiful grace of God that has set us free...and also the wonderous female he has created, even though we fall and fail..we are BEAU-TI-FUL in his eyes..stunning...hotties...gorgeous..you get the hint ;)

Grace

Grace, she takes the blame
She covers the shame
Removes the stain
It could be her name

Grace, it's the name for a girl
It's also a thought that changed the world
And when she walks on the street
You can hear the strings
Grace finds goodness in everything

Grace, she's got the walk
Not on a ramp or on chalk
She's got the time to talk

She travels outside of karma
She travels outside of karma
When she goes to work
You can hear her strings
Grace finds beauty in everything

Grace, she carries a world on her hips
No champagne flute for her lips
No twirls or skips between her fingertips
She carries a pearl in perfect condition

What once was hurt
What once was friction
What left a mark
No longer stings
Because Grace makes beauty
Out of ugly things

Grace makes beauty out of ugly things

aNiMaL aRt!

Well I'm bored so I thought I might post some of my artworks, as you can see I love painting animals! Let me know what you think.......

This Whale was painted for Gav, for his 29th Birthday.

I spent months doing this leopard, mainly because I got bored with it, as I usually do with my paintings, but finished it to enter it into an art exhibition. I didn't win anything but it was good experience in finding out how exhibitions work.

For those that go to The View, you may have seen this horse painting up in the hall a few months ago as part of the art display. I rushed this one a bit so that it was ready for the display but I think it turned out ok.

These two gorgeous dogs belong to my boss and his parents. I drew these dogs from photos I took and used chalk pastels rather than paints, and then gave them as christmas presents.

Thats all, hope you like!

Where is Everyone?

I would just like to pose this question: Where is everyone?
A recent discussion with fellow blonde blogger C@th has got us thinking where everyone has disappeared to from the sunday night services at The View. It seems that each week there seems to be less and less of the usual crowd coming to the service, or that they slip out quietly after the service. What happened to the social scene of going out for dinner afterwards? After the recent discussions on singleness (if thats such a word) on the elrancho blog by redrolle, shouldn't there be efforts made for more interaction together? Just a thought.......

Seeking Prince Charming...

... these photos are of two extremely eligible bachelorettes, not only are these girls gorgeous but they are also smart, funny, loyal and they love God passionately. If you have what it takes (see selection criteria below) to be a prince charming feel free to leave a comment or see me (Ronel) for an application form ( :-) )

Selection Criteria:
- ridiculously good-looks can only be a good thing (tall, dark, handsome preferably)
- must be reasonably intelligent
- passionate about God
- must love dogs
- great communication skills
- must not be pre-occupied with certain parts of the female anatomy (Harry-boy I hope you're reading this :-) )

Ok, seriously now, I am just joking about the application forms but as those of you who have spent longer than 5 minutes with me knows, I LOVE to match make and I do feel that it is my duty to make at least one successfull match before I die so I will be on the lookout for eligible bachelors for my two blonde bloggers.

My First Official Post!

Well I'm so excited to be a part of the blonde bloggers with two gorgeous awesome girls, Cathy and Ronel!

This is officially my first post and I don't really know what to say so I thought I might give you a bit of an insight into my life. So here goes:

I am a 24 year old gal who has an awesome loving family. (This includes all my family at The View!) I have an older sister and a brother who are both married now, and I have a gorgeous little neice Mia who I absolutely adore.

You have probably seen me around Riverview Church, as I volunteer in both Kidzchurch and Visual Arts with the awesome Kym (Redrolle) and Clare O. I love our church but more importantly love God and know that he has awesome things planned for my future! I have been on two mission/impact trips first to Cambodia and then recently to Rwanda Africa which was very life changing. I plan on going back soon.

I am a qualified Horticulturist, but for those who do not know what this means, I work with plants! I work full time in a nursery in Gidgegannup (thats in the hills) and love it! My other passion is art, particularly painting, my subjects usually being animals. I have sold one painting which I was very excited about and plan to sell more soon.
Well thats about it for my first post! Hope you enjoy!
